Robert Blunkosky

Founder / Project Manager

Robert Blunkosky established the company, Garden Graphics Landscaping, in 1982. Prior to starting the business, Bob had been involved in the civil engineering field for 15 years. A background in design and drafting, along with further horticultural education, paved his way to having his own business. Never being content to sit behind a desk, this allowed him to work on projects from design to construction in the field. Over the next 30 years, the family-owned business expanded into all facets of outdoor projects to meet the demands of its customer base. Garden Graphics became Pittsburgh Stone and Waterscapes to reflect this change. The business has steadily grown over the years and is proud of the projects it has completed. The idea of creating outdoor creations that our clients would enjoy year after year has been most rewarding for Bob. In 2012, ownership of the company was turned over to Bob’s son, Jeff Blunkosky, which allows Bob to be semi-retired, but he is still active as a project manager and a machine operator at times. When not managing, Bob is an avid off road bike rider and golfer.

What Do Our Clients Have to Say?
They love us & so will you!

  • Erik G.
My wife and I hired Jeff and his crew for this job not knowing what we would get from them. We heard that they were the best so we gave it a shot. After seeing the final product of our 1,100 square foot patio, I knew it was our best decision we could have made. From start to finish, Jeff, his dad (Bob), and his crew made it so easy and fun for us during the process from start to finish. We were so happy with the result we also hired them to do our accent lighting and landscaping as well. I am a firm believer in sticking with the same people throughout a project and this time I'm glad I did again. Thank you so much Jeff, Bob, and crew.

We had Pittsburgh Stone and Waterscapes install a paver patio at our home in North Park. We are 100% pleased with the great work that Jeff and his crew had done for us. They were very professional and detail-oriented. The initial concept phase including 3-D plans really helped us visualize what the finished result would look like. No other contractor that we consulted does this type of work. We now have a beautiful living space in our backyard. We can't recommend this company enough! We are looking forward to phase 2 (an outdoor kitchen and barbecue) in the near future.
  • Robert V.
I hired this company to install a waterfall in my backyard. They started on time, respected my property, cleaned up every day and finished the project on time and on budget. In a word, they were PROFESSIONAL. I believe they treated this project as an artistic endeavor. I would recommend Pittsburgh Stone & Waterscapes LLC without reservation.

  • Marc Z.
I had a great experience with Pittsburgh Stone & Waterscapes from start to finish. They did an excellent job with design and patio construction and the crew was outstanding! We did an extensive multi-level paver patio project with lighting and a pergola. They kept me abreast of the job and were excellent in explaining the process. They were very flexible in affording me the opportunity to make necessary tweaks in the design along the way. I would hire them again in a minute, and likely will as we already have ideas for a Phase II.

  • Shel F.
After years of imagining and dreaming and reaching out to a handful of professionals who thought we were crazy, Pittsburgh Stone and Waterscapes helped us create the urban oasis of our dreams, including a 10x16 salt water, heated, cocktail pool. We knew it wouldn't be an easy project, because of the small yard and the tight boundary lines, but Donnie, Josh, and the crews made things work, maximizing every inch, and the result is breathtaking. Everyone who walks through the gate can't believe we are still in Pittsburgh. The stonework is impeccable and, along with the landscaping, perfectly conveys the rustic ambiance we were going for. What's maybe most impressive is how quickly things came together once we broke ground. We were swimming a month later! If you're looking for more than a swimming pool ... if you're looking to create a complete entertainment experience in your backyard, I highly recommend Pgh Stone & Waterscapes. They are knowledgeable about every facet of the job, and they won't stop until you're happy. We're looking forward to working with them on future projects as well. Thanks, guys, for all your hard work!

  • Rob D.

We had Pittsburgh Stone and Waterscapes design and construct our outdoor living space. Their work was incredible! We received other quotes for the project; we found PSW to be the best VALUE...we weren't looking for the cheapest, but we also did not want to pay ridiculous prices. The PSW pricing was fair and reasonable, and we were able to make decisions on the products used that impacted the price; so we could invest in the areas that were important to us, but also save on features that weren't important.

The design process was very good; it was iterative, and they were able to design the space based on our vision and our input. They were always timely, and there was great communication throughout the process.

The construction phase was very well managed; we were kept apprised of the schedule, any changes, delays or accelerations were communicated timely. The work was very high quality...no shortcuts. The project was completed by the deadline that was agreed to during the planning phase.

The finished product was fantastic. We are so pleased with the work done, and we have a beautiful outdoor living space. During my nearly 30 years of home ownership, this is the most positive interaction I have ever had. I would recommend PSW to anyone and everyone. They are great, ethical, and a pleasure to work with.

  • I have hired Pghsw to do multiple projects at two different homes we owned. Jeff and his team are great to work with, do high quality work at a fair price, and are true professionals! Jeff came up with great hard scape design that complemented our home and landscape! We absolutely love our patio! It still looks as beautiful as it did the day it was finished. I highly recommend this company! Thank you Jeff and Bob!
